Terms of Service
Last updated 21 August 2026. Please read this before using ShiftingHub to request quotes.
These terms govern your use of the ShiftingHub website and quote-request platform, operated by SHIFTINGHUB (Udyam Registration UDYAM-GJ-24-0240812, registered address Ground Floor, D-32, Parankutir-2, Waghodia Road, Vadodara, Gujarat 390025). By submitting a quote request, contacting a partner through the platform, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms.
What ShiftingHub is
ShiftingHub is a marketplace connecting customers who need a move with independent, verified packers and movers. We are not a moving company. We do not own trucks, employ moving teams, or take physical custody of your belongings at any point. Our role is to vet partners before they're listed, route your request to matched partners, and let you compare their quotes. The moving service itself is performed entirely by the partner you choose to book, under a separate agreement between you and that partner.
ShiftingHub has no partnership, agency, or employment relationship with any partner. Each partner runs its own independent business and is solely responsible for the move it performs.
Requesting quotes
- Submitting a quote request is free and creates no obligation to book with any partner.
- The information you provide (origin, destination, move date, move size, contact details) is shared with matched partners so they can prepare a quote. There's no fixed limit on how many partners may respond.
- Prices shown on the site (rate cards, route pages, calculator estimates) are indicative starting figures generated from our pricing engine, not binding quotes. Your actual price is set by the partner you book, confirmed through their quote and, where offered, a free pre-move survey.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. Incomplete or inaccurate details (wrong floor, access restrictions, item count) can affect the quote a partner gives you.
Booking and payment
When you choose to book, you enter into a direct arrangement with that partner. ShiftingHub is not a party to that booking, does not set the partner's final price, and does not process or hold payment for the move. Payment terms (advance, balance, method) are agreed directly between you and the partner. Every listed partner is GST-registered and required to issue a proper tax invoice for the service they provide.
Our checks, and their limits
Every partner listed on ShiftingHub goes through a verification process before listing: GST verification, background checks, and a physical audit of their office and fleet, with their public Google rating synced daily and monitored. This is a genuine screening step, not a formality, but these checks reduce risk rather than eliminating it. We can't guarantee the conduct, punctuality, or workmanship of any individual partner on any individual move. If something goes wrong with a booked move, our first step is helping you resolve it with the partner directly; our support team is available to help escalate where needed.
Acceptable use
- Don't submit false contact details or move requests you have no intention of following through on. Matched partners spend real time preparing quotes.
- Don't use the platform to harvest partner contact details for purposes unrelated to requesting a genuine move.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the site's normal operation.
Limitation of liability
ShiftingHub connects you with a partner. We do not carry out the move ourselves. We are not liable for loss, damage, delay, or any other problem with the move itself. The partner you book is responsible for these.
Requesting a quote on ShiftingHub is free. Because of this, our total liability for any claim connected to the platform is capped at the amount you paid ShiftingHub directly, which in most cases is nil. This cap does not apply where the law does not allow it, such as claims involving fraud.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss connected to a move. This includes lost wages, lost time, and emotional distress.
Where a partner offers transit insurance, that's the right route for a damage claim. Confirm the insurance terms with your partner before you book.
You agree to indemnify ShiftingHub. This means you will cover any claim, loss, or cost that results from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the platform.
Intellectual property
The ShiftingHub name, branding, and website content are owned by SHIFTINGHUB. Partner profiles, pricing data, and city content on this site are provided for the purpose of comparing and booking moving services, not for reproduction or scraping.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
If a dispute comes up, contact our support team first. Most issues are resolved this way.
If support cannot resolve a dispute, either party can refer it to arbitration. A sole arbitrator will hear the case under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be held in Vadodara, Gujarat, in English, and its outcome is final and binding on both parties.
Courts in Vadodara, Gujarat keep the power to grant urgent interim relief, even while arbitration is ongoing.
