ShiftingHub (ShiftingHub, operated under the legal name SHIFTINGHUB, Udyam Registration UDYAM-GJ-24-0240812) is a marketplace that connects customers with verified, independent packers and movers. This policy covers what we collect when you use our website, and what happens to it. We are not a moving company: we do not own trucks and never take physical possession of your belongings, so most of what you share with us exists to route your request to the right partners.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways.

• Information you give us directly: your name, phone number, email address, origin and destination locations, move date, move type and size, and any notes you add when you request a quote, book a callback, or contact support.
• Information from your device: standard analytics data (pages visited, approximate location from IP, browser and device type) collected via cookies and similar technologies, used to understand how the site is used and to measure whether our marketing is working.
• Information from partners: if a partner you were matched with reports back on a completed move (for example, to confirm a booking or leave verification notes), that update is added to your request record.

How we use it

• To match your request with verified partners who service your route and move type, and to share your contact details and move details with those matched partners so they can quote you.
• To contact you about your request: confirming details, following up on a quote, or checking how a booked move went.
• To operate and improve the site: understanding which pages and quote flows work, fixing bugs, and measuring which marketing channels bring genuine requests.
• To vet and monitor the partner network. Aggregated, anonymised request data helps us see which partners are actually converting and completing moves well.
• To send you relevant updates about your request. We do not sell your details to third parties, and we do not use your data for purposes unrelated to connecting you with a move.

Who we share it with

The core of this platform is introducing you to moving partners, so sharing your request details with matched partners is the service itself, not a side effect. Beyond that:

• We use standard third-party tools for hosting, analytics and communication (for example, sending you a WhatsApp or SMS confirmation). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms, and don't use it for their own purposes.
• We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users, or to investigate fraud or abuse of the platform.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to contact@shiftinghub.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your data may mean we can no longer follow up on an open quote request, since partners need your contact details to respond to it.

Cookies used for analytics can be controlled through your browser settings. Blocking them won't stop the site from working, but it limits our ability to understand how it's used.

How long we keep it

We keep request data for as long as it's useful for the purpose it was collected, generally the duration of an active move request plus a reasonable window afterward for support and dispute handling. Deleted or cancelled requests are removed from active systems; some records may be retained longer where we're required to for accounting, tax, or legal reasons.

Children

ShiftingHub is intended for adults arranging their own moves. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we treat your data as something we're trusted with, not something we own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page.
