Plumbing work

Every flat hands over its plumbing in a slightly different state. The geyser inlet is a different size, the washing machine tap is behind the door, the RO was fitted by somebody who ran the waste line into the sink trap. A plumber for the day sorts the lot, and doing it on the shifting date rather than a week later means you are not washing clothes by bucket in the meantime.

What you get

  • Geyser drained, disconnected and remounted with fresh inlet and outlet connections
  • Washing machine inlet tap and waste line fitted at the new place
  • RO or water purifier taken off, refitted and flushed
  • Taps, mixers, health faucets and shower fittings swapped where yours are worn
  • Waste traps and drain connections resealed rather than reused
  • Every joint tested under running pressure with you watching

Not included

  • Concealed pipe work that needs walls or floors broken open
  • Borewell, pump, overhead tank and society main line work
  • Bathroom renovation, tiling and sanitaryware installation
  • The cost of taps, pipes and fittings, which are billed at what they cost plus fitting

Your options

Shifting day plumbing
One visit covering everything that has to come off, and one at the new flat.
Appliance connections
Only the geyser, washing machine and purifier, when the rest of the flat is fine.
Fittings replacement
Taps, mixers and faucets changed while he is there, which costs less than a second call.
Leak and blockage repair
For the drip you inherit with a new flat. Quoted once he has seen it.

What we need from you

  • What has to come off, and what is waiting to go in at the new place
  • Whether you want your existing fittings reused or replaced
  • Rough photos of the geyser and the washing machine corner

How long it takes

Usually within two or three days of asking, and we try to put the plumber on your actual shifting date so both ends happen in one go.

What it costs

Every job is quoted on what you actually need. Tell us the scope and we send a written price with the terms before you commit to anything.

No advance is taken on a call and nothing is charged for the quote itself.

Who does the work

The work is done by verified local technicians we already use on moves, not by staff of our own. We take the details, send them the job and stay on it until it is finished. You approve the price before anyone is booked.

Frequently asked

Can the plumber come on the same day as the move?

That is the arrangement we aim for, because disconnecting the day before leaves you without a geyser and reconnecting a week later leaves you without a washing machine. Tell us your date when you ask and we book around it.

Do you supply the taps and pipes, or do I buy them?

Either way. If we supply them you pay what they cost plus the fitting, and you see the bill. Plenty of people prefer to buy their own fittings and have us only fit them, which is fine.

The new flat has a leak I only noticed after moving in. Is that covered?

It is a separate job, and a common one. Send a photo, we get the plumber to look at it, and you get a price before he starts cutting anything.

Tell us what you need

Send this and we call or WhatsApp you to work out the scope, then put the price in writing. Nothing is charged for the conversation.
